What if July the 4th Every year was Independent’s Day…as in Independent Broker’s Day. What if on that day, you wrote a blog post about WHY you decided to go out on your own. Seriously. List the reasons why you just knew that is you could put in the time and effort to build the best group of agents ever that were EXPERTS in your local market and LOVED living here that it would BEST serve the community.
Lay out the reasons in black and white and in technicolor detail why people in your area DESERVE this level of service. Give them the hard cold proof that your team is better. Use one of your agents as an example. Feature them. SELL them to your consumer or more specifically to a niche market that they are addressing and then let the work know that you have others just like them with DIFFERENT skills but the same local knowledge and love.
Write your own Declaration of Independence. (Pro-Tip: Read the original, cast your former Franchise in the role of Britain (well intentioned but too far away, and with taxation without representation) and dump some tea in the harbor! 🙂
My point is this: You cannot recruit other people to your cause until you CREATE your cause and ARTICULATE what you are going to do better.
